Avatar: The Last Airbender

If I had to rank the - lets face it - considerable list of cartoons I've enjoyed starting as a child and far into adulthood, Avatar The Last Airbender would easily find its way into the top 5. If not occupying the number 1 spot.

Its three seasons complete an epic story arc of love, hate, friendship, betrayal and redemption I did not expect to find in a "children’s" show.

The second trailer for the live action movie adaptation was released during the Super Bowl this year.

I am disappointed by the need for the name change. Apparently there's another movie out right now under the name Avatar.

I think it's an Indy movie.

You've probably never heard of it. 

That being said, the trailer knocked my socks off.

Chances are you will like it and want to buy it. Or not and won't. One if those two, I'm not sure what the fuss is beyond that.

The only real thoughts i feel like throwing into the pot are; i think we should take the lead from my iPhone by refusing to recognize "iPad" as a real word.

Tomorrows big Apple announcement will, as guessed by nearly everyone, be a new tablet. Beans spilled by Apples surely soon-to-be-ex-content partner McGraw-Hill's Harold McGraw III.

Rumors still abound on what exactly the final product will be. Enough so that anything less than granting direct control over time/space itself will ensure there will be a backlash against it. It's human nature.

I have my weaknesses ($500 gen 1 iPhone) but I'm far from a ifanboy. If you get the chance, and don't mind expletives, you should ask me about my thoughts on the Apple store.

But I must admit I'm drawn to this still theoretical product and all it's potential.

Change video media market the same way the iPod changed audio?

What the iPhone did for the cell market?

Or will it be more like what AppleTV did for TV?

Either way I'm glad Ive been working a lot of overtime recently. I have a feeling I may have a large unnecessary expense in my future.
