Chocolate - Movie
Thursday, January 29, 2009 at 07:00AM Beauty is strange, fickle and subjective. From the recognition of the unknowable complexity held within rain drops striking pavement, to the universally understood, never explained, meaning behind a head nod to a person traveling 70mph, 6 feet away from you cocooned in plastic, steel and glass. It finds us, seeks us out, and shines brightly for us if we choose to look upon it.
Upon watching the trailer for the Thai action movie, Chocolate, for the first time I found myself struck by beauty in the most unexpected of places.
At 1:18 into this clip my curiosity was piqued.
At 1:22 the hair raised on the back of my neck, the unconscious precognitive recognition of what was to be.
At 1:25 my heart gestated a quite wish for what I dared to hope would be coming.
And 1:27 my heart gave birth to laughter and an unquenchable smile which rears up every time I think about it.
I know they don't give out awards for awesomest catch phrase in a movie trailer, but they should.
And it should go to whomever thought up that one.
Well played, sir.
