...to make a long story short...

Well, that was one of my Mom's favorite lines, she used to say it three, four or more times while telling a story. Not because she was trying to make it any shorter but because she needed a pause to remember what she was saying. Those days are now gone... She now has Alzheimer's and is in the early-mid period of the disease, it's a transition that the entire family is now learning how to make.
